Carbon Credits

The graph (below) shows how rapidly ALT's aerobic process mitigates GHG production

The process started on January 15. Within 2 weeks, methane (CH4) production virtually
ceased and carbon dioxide (CO2)  production dropped off dramatically.  Oxygen (O2) was
used as a control element. Spikes in CH4 and CO2 in mid-April resulted from a moisture
injection  to stabilize the temperature (°C).

The aerobic process resolves more environmental issues faster and more effectively than any other method.

Gas flaring resolves 20 to 30% of ultimate landfill methane on a declining scale and becomes economically unviable within 15 years. As well, the flaring equipment is subject to significant erosion.

ALT's aerobic process mitigates more than 90% of ultimate landfill methane in 2 to 3 years. The equipment is reusable and can be deployed on another site or cell.

Within 2 to 3 weeks of aerobic operation, methane production virtually ceases.
Because the aerobic process is so efficient, the value of the generated carbon credits will more than offset the cost of implementing and operating the aerobic system.
In fact, sufficient credits are generated to allow a municipality or landfill owner to share in revenue. A formerly closed landfill now becomes an asset or profit center rather than a liability.
